CRISPRCasStack input mode :
In the CRISPRCasStack web service we provide two user input modes: Genome sequence input mode, and Protein sequence input mode. If you wish to detect relevant information about CRISPR-Cas system components on a genome sequence, select Genome sequence input mode. If you only wish to perform protein function prediction, please select Protein sequence input mode.
Output for different input modes:
If a genomic sequence is submitted, the output page of the CRISPRCasStack server includes the location of the CRISPR array and its leader sequence; information about the Cas protein and its encoding gene; the type and location of the Cas operon and information about the putative CRISPR-Cas locus. If the input is proteomic data, CRISPRCasStack will directly return the samples predicted to be Cas proteins and their related information.
CRISPRCasStack output description:
When a user enters a genome sequence, there are multiple links on the results page. Here, we provide a detailed description of each link.
CRISPR array:
On the CRISPRCasStack results page, clicking on the button with the CRISPR array pink graphical logo will display information about each putative CRISPR array in the uploaded genome sequence. This includes start and end positions, repeat sequences, number of repeats, etc.In addition to this, the details of each CRISPR array are stored in the blue graphic button with the CRISPR array, while the blue graphic button with Proteins and Genes provides the user with the putative coding sequences obtained from the Prodigal predictions.
Cas proteins:
On the CRISPRCasStack results page, clicking on the button with the pink graphical representation of Cas Proteins displays information about each putative Cas proteins in the uploaded genomic sequence.
Cas operons:
In the CRISPRCasStack results page, clicking on the button with the pink graphical logo of Cas Operons will display information about each putative Cas operon in the uploaded genomic sequence.
CRISPR-Cas locus:
In the CRISPRCasStack results page, clicking on the button with the CRISPR-Cas loci pink graphical logo will display information about each putative CRISPR-Cas loci in the uploaded genomic sequence.
Workflow for CRISPRCasStack Server:
Here we show the workflow of CRISPRCasStack with different inputs.
